Who can apply for a temporary danish passport (travel document)?
When you have a passport or a foreign passport , you can extend the validity of your passport .
You do not need to pay a fee to apply for a passport renewal.
How long can the credit period be extended?
How much validity of your passport can be extended depends on your age .
- If you are less than 2 years old, the validity can be extended up to 2 years from the date of passport issuance .
- If you are between 2 and 18 years old, the validity can be extended up to 5 years from the date of passport issuance.
- If you are over 18 years old , the validity of your passport can be extended up to 10 years from the date of issuance.
However, the passport can be valid for a maximum of 6 months longer than your residence permit.
School trips without a passport
Children who have a residence permit in Denmark and are going on a school trip to another EU country can normally travel without a valid passport if they are listed on the school trip list.
How to request a credit extension or get a new passport step by step

11. According to your conditions, take the help of one of the two photos and complete this section and click Next .
12. Click Next according to the picture .

14. Read the terms and conditions as shown in the picture and at the end tick the confirmation and click Next .
15. Click Signer to sign your request as shown in the picture .
16. After that, you will receive an email that is the receipt of your request.
The approximate time to receive the job is 3 months.
